Forest Resources Development Program (FRDP)
The overall purpose of the FRDP is to provide a coordinated and cooperative Federal, State and local sustainable forestry program for the establishment, management, maintenance, enhancement and restoration of forests on non-industrial private forest land. To qualify for cost-share payments, landowners must have a written forest management plan that covers the land on which cost-shared practices will be applied. FRDP objectives are to sustain our natural resources, to promote good land management practices, to encourage proper silviculture and to promote the use of trees to help solve environmental problems on private lands.
