Private Stewardship Grants Program (PSGP)

The PSGP provides grants and other assistance on a competitive basis to individuals and groups engaged in private, voluntary conservation efforts that benefit species listed or proposed as endangered or theatened under the Endangered Species Act of 1973. Landowners complete a project poposal and one required federal form. Proposals must be formatted according to USFWS requirements. Landowners share at least 10% of the total project cost. The program offers technical and financial assistance to improve habitat or implement other activities on privatel ands for the benefit of endangered, threatened, proposed, candidate, or other at risk species (plants and animals).
